Real Substrate Proof on original shrink sleeve material
The packaging market has been a steadily growing market since the beginning of industrialization. Everything is packaged. Packaging protects the product and can have a decisive influence on the consumer's purchasing decision. The downside of increasing consumption is growing mountains of waste. Sustainability therefore plays a more important role in the packaging market today than ever before.
Real Substrate Proof enables proofs to be printed directly onto the production substrate. The result is a proof that is indistinguishable from the final production. Exclusively developed inks, including CMYK/OGB/White, in combination with Mutoh's resin printers guarantee outstanding quality and a wide color gamut. Use our FLEX PACK Proof software and print on any packaging substrate - with 100% color gamut and 100% confidence. CERTIFIED quality control and our CxF TOOLS for brand color management complete the solution and ensure that we meet all the requirements of the packaging market.

Hot foil stamping, embossing, spot varnishing with Print Finishing Proof
Print finishes such as hot and cold foils, embossing and deep embossing and spot varnishing can be realized with our Print Finishing Proof. This is made possible by the interaction of our FLEX PACK proof software and the high-end UV printers from Roland DG.
Of course, you can also create color proofs on the original substrate with our Print Finishing Proof solution. Disadvantages may be the smaller color space compared to the other proofing solutions and the change in the haptic properties of the substrate. The good news is that the Print Finishing Proof can be combined with our other proofing solutions. CERTIFIED quality control and our CxF TOOLS for brand color management complete the solution and ensure that we meet all the requirements of the packaging market.

Like Real Substrate Proof, Authentic Substrate Proof aims to create proofs that are as indistinguishable as possible from the final product. At the heart of this solution are our Wide Gamut XG solvent inks and our specially developed PackPROOF media portfolio. Unlike with Real Substrate Proof, here you have the option of reproducing the complete Pantone Metallic Library. Quality control with CERTIFIED and our CxF TOOLS for managing brand colors complete the solution and ensure that we meet all the requirements of the packaging market.

Traditionally, spot colors have always been used in packaging printing. However, frequently changing colors in the printing unit leads to large amounts of ink waste. Set-up times are also longer. As a result, there is now a trend in analog printing towards fixed color palettes with such a large color space that the use of spot colors can hardly be justified. In design, on the other hand, spot color libraries such as Pantone have become established. X GAMUT helps you to translate your print data with many spot colors into the extended color space of your printing press.
The colors of a brand are an important part of its visual identity. They help to differentiate the brand from others and create a consistent perception across different channels. With CxF TOOLS, we offer a solution for communicating brand colors completely independent of unreliable color swatch books. With CxF TOOLS, the physical nature of colors is spectrally recorded and made available to all stakeholders within the supply chains via a cloud. Misunderstandings in color combinations are now a thing of the past. CxF TOOLS can be used as a stand-alone application, but is of course also fully integrated into our other proofing software solutions COLOR TUNER and FLEX PACK as well as our color management software for production PRESS MATCHER and X GAMUT.
Consumers and brands are placing increasing value on sustainable packaging. This is leading to the increased use of environmentally friendly printing technologies, biodegradable materials, recyclable substrates and resource-saving production methods.
Digital printing enables flexible and cost-efficient production methods, especially for small print runs. Personalized packaging, such as individual designs or target group-oriented campaigns, are becoming increasingly important and create stronger customer loyalty.
Packaging is increasingly being equipped with technologies such as QR codes, NFC or augmented reality to provide additional information, interactive experiences or traceability along the supply chain. This increases added value for consumers and brands.
High-quality designs and finishes such as embossing, varnishing or holograms are increasingly being used to highlight products and support brand differentiation. This is particularly relevant in the competition for luxury and consumer goods.
