Maxim: From Particle Nuclear Physics to Print Precision
Maxim has been with CGS ORIS since 2023, and as of this summer, he’s taken on the role of Head of Development. With a background that spans both experimental nuclear physics and computer science, Maxim brings a unique mix of academic depth and real-world pragmatism.
He studied physics and computer science at TU Darmstadt, where he earned a B.Sc. in Informatics and later completed received a PhD in experimental nuclear physics. After a two-year postdoctoral stint, Maxim transitioned from fundamental research into software development—luckily, landing at CGS ORIS.
Now in his new role, Maxim has a clear goal: to modernize and evolve the way our teams build and deliver software. His vision includes a stronger structure, more efficient processes, and a tech stack that reflects the future—including the use of AI models in development workflows.
And because innovation is as much about people as it is about tools, Maxim is also focused on upskilling the team and attracting new talent to raise the bar even further.
Lucas: Hands-on and Future-Focused
Joining Maxim’s team is Lucas, who brings deep technical experience from his work as a consultant and engineer in enterprise software projects. Lucas holds a master’s degree in computer science and has worked on projects ranging from encryption platforms to digital health data pipelines.
Lucas’s toolbelt includes Java (Spring Boot), C++, Python, Docker, Git, and just about everything in between. He has already contributed to projects involving secure data exchange between healthcare systems, automated test generation for enterprise apps, and serious games built in Unreal Engine.
We’re looking forward to seeing his contributions across our projects—from packaging workflows to color matching and more.
Welcome to the Team!
Please join us in welcoming Maxim and Lucas to the CGS ORIS team. With a strong mix of strategy, structure, and hands-on skills, they’ll help us continue to deliver the kinds of tools that printers, converters, and packaging professionals can truly rely on.
Maxim and Lucas—we’re happy to have you both with us!
