This September, our dealer community came together for the CGS ORIS Dealer Meeting 2025!

Two packed days of knowledge-sharing, hands-on sessions, and plenty of time to connect. From deep dives into color technology to practical sales strategies and future-focused discussions, it was an event designed to equip our partners with everything they need to succeed in an evolving print and packaging landscape.

And yes, we made sure the evenings were just as memorable! ;)

Spot Colors and Spectral Data – How to predict the overprint of Spot and Process Colors.

We kicked things off with a closer look at Spectral Match, the easiest and most cost-effective way to create color accurate proofs only using spectral data of spot and process colors

How it worksMarcus Brune guided us through the nuts and bolts: how Color Tuner and CxF Toolbox work hand in hand to predict spot color overprints, based on real analog print conditions.

How to sell Stefan Höfs shifted the perspective to sales, sharing strategies for positioning Spectral Match to the right customer profiles, highlighting its value proposition, and offering practical sales tactics.

The clear message? Spectral Data isn’t just a technical edge—it’s a sales advantage

Real Substrate Proof – The Cookbook Approach

Next, we dove into Real Substrate Proof (RSP), currently one of the most talked-about proofing solutions in the packaging market.

  • The RSP CookbookThomas Chiron shared his “recipe collection” based on real-world experience with customers and countless hours in the demo room. His how-to guide for RSP gives users a practical roadmap for getting the most out of the solution.

  • Best practices in action – Thomas continued with a hands-on workshop, focusing on everything from creating 7-color RFPs to media handling tips and Mutoh printer maintenance.

By the end of the session, attendees had not only the theory but also the tools to put RSP into practice right away.

ECG Printing – From Possibility to Practice

Day two shifted gears toward ECG (Extended Color Gamut) printing and the challenges it brings to analog workflows.

  • An introductionMarcus Brune outlined the technical possibilities of ECG using X Gamut, showing how fixed color palettes can reach new levels of efficiency and consistency.

  • Learning from ChinaMarcus Tang brought a global perspective, sharing how companies in China have successfully adopted ECG in analog printing. His insights into both the sales process and the technical implementation offered valuable lessons for everyone in the room.

More Than Just Work – Evenings Well Spent

Of course, no dealer meeting would be complete without time to relax, connect, and celebrate. After the sessions, we made sure our partners were well taken care of with great food, plenty of drinks, and lively evening programs. These moments gave everyone a chance to recharge, share stories, and strengthen the relationships that make our dealer network so strong.

Looking Ahead

The CGS ORIS Dealer Meeting 2025 reminded us of the power of bringing people together—combining technology, strategy, and a good dose of camaraderie. Our partners left with broader knowledge, practical tools, and fresh energy to take back to their markets.

Here’s to another successful year and meeting again soon!
